School Council
What is the school council?
- School council acts as an advisory and their purpose is to improve student achievement and enhance the accountability of the education system to parents.
- Principals and school boards must consult with school councils on a variety of matters that affect student learning.
- Principals must also consider recommendations made by school councils.
